Become more Successful with this Mnemonic

Practice this hourly!

A mnemonic is a tool that helps us remember certain facts or large amounts of information. They can come in the form of a song, rhyme, acronym, image, phrase, or sentence. My personal short-term, goal-achieving mnemonic is DPR and this stands for discipline, positiveness, and relaxation.

The list of items to discipline yourself to do comprises a personal list that you create daily but this would initially include discipline to exercise DPR hourly which would mean that you need to set a reminder to create and edit your list daily. The "D" will remind you to exercise your list of disciplines; the "P" will remind you to think or visualize positive outcomes and surround yourself with successful people and pleasant environments; the "R" will remind you to breathe deeply and slowly as well as relax your entire body starting with your jaw, back of your neck, your stomach as your exhale completely.

Set a daily reminder in your Google or Apple calendar to create your discipline list.

Set your hourly watch chime to remind you to do DPR every hour.

More about this subject to come soon.

Use DPR to Accomplish Difficult Tasks

I use this while I am walking, running, swimming or even meditating as well as for help with accomplishing difficult tasks.

I remember first employing DPR when I was a teenager about to fly an airplane for my instrument rating flight test with an FAA examiner.  I was extremely nervous but found that DPR really helped me to become relaxed and picture a positive outcome and follow my disciplines such as to scan the instruments and do get fixated staring at just one such as the artificial horizon (or as you might recognize it as the fake window) and continue scanning to look at airspeed and vertical speed and so on.
